Greetings!

The 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time calls us to trust God’s care, especially when fear rises. Jesus reminds us that we are fully known and deeply loved by the Father, worth more than many sparrows, held always in His sight. Meaning that nothing even the least, the overlooked, the insignificant are not too small for God's love and attention.

These readings urge us to choose courage. Faith asks us to stand firm even when others oppose us, trusting that God’s grace is stronger than fear and greater than any sin. St. Paul teaches that though sin entered through Adam, abundant life comes through Christ. We cannot save ourselves, but God never leaves us in our weakness. In Jesus, we receive forgiveness, renewal, and hope.

For anyone burdened by guilt or feeling unworthy, this Sunday offers reassurance: God’s mercy is deeper than our failures, and His love gives us a fresh start.

The message is simple and strong, trust God above all else. Place your fears in His hands. Let His love steady your heart. When we follow Him with courage, we find peace, strength, and the confidence to become who He calls us to be.

Livestream the Mass on Sunday at 11:00am on our Facebook page.

Parish News & Events:

With gratitude to God, our parish joyfully celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Fr. Bill’s Ordination to the Priesthood.

For twenty-five years, Fr. Bill has faithfully served Christ and His Church with prayer, leadership, compassion, and dedication to each parish family he was a part of. We are deeply grateful for the many ways he has inspired us, strengthened our faith, and walked alongside us, and we look forward with joy to the years ahead

All parishioners are invited to send Fr. Bill a personal note of appreciation, a favorite memory, photos, or words of encouragement. Your messages will reach Fr. Bill directly and will be collected and presented to him as part of this special anniversary celebration.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

With hearts full of joy, we warmly welcome Anthony Dolberg into our Catholic faith family. Last weekend, he received the beautiful sacrament of Baptism, celebrated by his uncle, Br. Matthew Sislon, OSB. We rejoice in this special moment and are so blessed to welcome him as a cherished member of our community.

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase, and family is the love that walks with you every step of the way, may God bless you and your family. Welcome Anthony!

Heavenly Father,

we thank You for the gift of fathers.

Bless them with strength, wisdom, and love,

that they may reflect Your care in their families.

Through the example of St. Joseph,

guide and protect them always.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Preprinted Envelopes

If you are still receiving donation envelopes but no longer need them, or if you now give by check, QCD, RMD, or through WeShare, we would be very grateful if you would let us know so we can discontinue sending them. Doing so helps our parish be good stewards of our resources while still keeping an accurate record of your generous support. Thank you for your kindness and for all you do for our church community. If you would like to stop receiving envelopes, please email Sue Johnson by clicking the button below or sending an email to sjohnson@rcparish.org.

Hand in Hand Funding Requests

Attention Ministries!

As we prepare for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027), we are excited to continue supporting charitable initiatives and ministry efforts through the Hand in Hand Fund. As a Stewardship Parish, Offertory Giving remains the primary way parishioners contribute to the mission and good works of our community.

We invite all parish ministries to submit funding requests for charitable projects or programs planned for the upcoming year. These requests will help us allocate a portion of Offertory donations to support your important work.

To apply for funding:

  • Please complete a Hand in Hand Fund Request Form for each project or program.
  • Clearly state the amount requested and provide a brief description of how the funds will be used.
  • Submit your completed form(s) to the parish office no later than June 30, 2026.

All submissions will be reviewed, and funds will be distributed based on available budget and alignment with our parish mission.

Thank you for your continued dedication and service!

Two Adult OCIA processes for 2026-27

After the success of last year’s Jubilee Pilgrimage to The Grotto, we are planning another pilgrimage this summer to Mount Angel Abbey.

This is a wonderful opportunity to step away from the daily distractions of life and focus on solitude, peace, and prayer. Or to just enjoy some personal time from the hustle and bustle of life. Family and friends are welcome.

The Beatitudes: God’s Roadmap to Everlasting Joy

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Mercy involves showing compassion and forgiveness to others. By letting go of grudges and offering acts of charity, we open ourselves to receive God’s mercy and love. As Jesus taught in Luke 6:27-28, showing love to enemies reflects true mercy. Praying for those who have wronged us is one example. A step further would be to reach out to them and do some act of kindness.

Through honoring the Sacred Heart, the faithful are invited to reflect on the depth of Jesus’ love and respond with trust, devotion, and a renewed commitment to live in His love.

O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you,

and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine.

Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will.

Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you.

Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions;

give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,

your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death.

Amen.

QCD

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.

RMD

Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.

Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.

Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.

Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
