AMTRAK
Amtrak strives to deliver high quality, safe, on-time passenger rail service that exceeds customer expectations. With 21,000 route miles in 46 states, the District of Columbia and three Canadian provinces, Amtrak operates more than 300 trains each day — at speeds up to 150 mph — to more than 500 destinations.
What's Happening?
A large-scale restoration and renovation project is currently underway at William H. Gray III 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. The project will enhance the station’s functionality and improve the customer experience for Amtrak, SEPTA and NJ TRANSIT customers. The project will also improve the Market Street Plaza, expand retail offerings, and provide other benefits to the local community.
WTS Philadelphia was formed by 12 women on June 21, 1979. Since then, the Chapter has focused on promoting the development and advancement of women and men in the transportation industry.
