  • With Election Day on the horizon next week, Recorder Dana Lewis provided a comprehensive update. There are 296,682 active registrants, with 199,849 of those on the Active Early Voter List (AEVL). Turnout currently stands at 27%. Anyone with an Early Ballot is now advised to drop it in a ballot drop box, or at a polling location on Election Day - the last date to mail a ballot to guarantee it arrives in time has now passed. Polling locations on Election Day are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. -remember, Pinal County uses a precinct-based model, so you must go to your assigned polling location. Lew also told the Supervisors and the public that auditing of county departments and constitutional offices is conducted by the County's Internal Audit department, which is contracted with the professional services firm Protiviti. Over the past ten years, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office has been part of seventeen internal audits, either in a direct scope or as part of a larger scope. (Item 1)
