Planning for Your Child’s Future
We all recognize that planning for your child’s future is an important part of being a parent and this is even more vital when you have a child with a diverse ability. It’s also a tough challenge. Where to you start? Who should you talk to? What are the options?
 
Join us this month as we look at a variety of legal and financial considerations that families should be aware of when thinking about how to build the long term supports for their child.

Last week we looked at trusts and STABLE accounts, their benefits, how they can work together and why families might want to set these up to help with long term financial security for their child. If you missed this live seminar, you can watch the recording HERE.
 
This Thursday, we will talk about SSI/SSDI, waivers, and insurance, so if you want more information, register to join us. In the following weeks we will also discuss guardianship, power or attorney, and supported decision-making as well as look at where a family at any stage can start.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
Adult Support Group
Adult Support Group is a place for adults 18+ with autism to connect with others, discuss successes and challenges, share solutions and experiences, and give and receive support.

This support group meets every Sunday evening online with facilitators to support the conversation, offer resources, and listen.
