Celebrate the Semiquincentennial

This year marks the 250th anniversary (or “semiquincentennial”) of the signing of the Declaration of Independence! The Bangor Public Library will have a number of activities and programs aimed at commemorating this special year.

First, we are creating a large-scale American flag mural compiled from 325 individual squares that together form a vibrant version of the American flag, symbol of unity, shared purpose, hope, and love for our country. Learn more about this program and how you will be able to participate at a March 14th workshop (or at home).

Puzzle Updates

Last month, we said goodbye to the 42,000 piece puzzle. It has been delivered to the Dyer Library and Saco Museum. We hope they have as much fun as we did!

In related news, we are holding our 2nd Jigsaw Puzzle Competition on Saturday, March 21st. Sign your team up here!
