INTO THE BLUE

Taking place in February at P&J Live in Aberdeen, Subsea Expo is the world’s largest exhibition and conference dedicated to the underwater sector. Free to attend, the three-day event is expected to attract up to 6,500 industry professionals and feature around 150 exhibiting companies.
Held from Tuesday, 21st until Thursday, 23rd February, the event provides a platform for companies operating across the underwater industry, which includes offshore renewables, oil and gas, defence, aquaculture, telecoms and subsea mining, to showcase the latest technologies and innovations.

The event theme will be "Into the Blue" which will highlight the potential of the Blue Economy across the established and emerging underwater sectors and how they must work together to maximise on the blue economic opportunities.
Running alongside the exhibition will be a busy conference programme. Multiple parallel sessions will take place over the duration of the three days, featuring debate on a number of current industry topics. One area where significant debate is expected is around energy security and the protection of critical national underwater infrastructure, such as pipelines and data cables.
Other conference sessions will focus on robotics and autonomous operations; data and digitalisation; doing business underwater; energy transition; marine energy; and subsea production systems and pipelines.

A highlight of the three-day event is the prestigious Subsea Expo Awards. Held on the Wednesday evening, the black-tie dinner recognises the companies and individuals who are leading the way in the underwater sector. The guest speaker on the evening will be space scientist, engineer and broadcaster Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE.

More than 100 young people are expected to visit Subsea Expo 2023 at P&J Live where they can become enthused and inspired about the energy industry.
Organised by the Global Underwater Hub, the foreSEA Your Future on Thursday 23rd February event brings a new approach to the now traditional STEM day for senior pupils at Subsea Expo, and a parallel programme for college and university students.
Upon arrival at Subsea Expo pupils will be welcomed to the event before taking part in STEM activities. They will then be treated to a fantastic presentation from space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE who will be sharing her love of science with the next generation of subsea talent.
