Get Compost Going on the Farm this Summer!

Land's Sake is working to establish an efficient and sustainable farm-scale composting system. With a $70,000 funding goal, only $20,000 still needs to be raised. We need your support to close the gap.

A generous donor has stepped up with a $10,000 Challenge Match in hopes that her gift will inspire others to raise another $10,000 by May 1. Please rise to the challenge and get compost going on the farm this summer!

What is Aerated Static Pile (ASP) Composting?

This compost method is efficient and easy to use, particularly for larger volumes of organic waste (like farms!)

• Accelerates the composting process by using forced air
• Does not require manual turning using specialized machinery and fuel
• Minimizes odors
• Provides a steady supply of high quality compost for the farm

Celebrate Earth Day and Land Sake's 45th Birthday!

Saturday, April 26, 10am-2pm - Rain or Shine

RAIN OR SHINE - Enjoy live music by TIMKO, farm activities, face and rock painting; browse a variety of local vendors; meet farm staff and local environmentalists. Grab your work gloves and help with tree maintenance, garden care, and more. Enjoy flower potting with Flower Box Gardens (an Earth Day favorite!) Local food and beverage available for purchase!

We need volunteers for the Earth Day event! Tasks include setup, cleanup, traffic control, animal encounters, and face paint. Shifts run 2-3 hours. (Volunteer hours qualify toward high school community service requirements!)

Last Chance for Green Dollars!

Receive an extra 5% on the dollar to spend at the Farmstand through 2025

Green Dollars help provide the farm with income early in the season. Purchase Green Dollars (in any amount) and receive an extra 5% on the dollar to spend at the Farmstand. Green Dollars may be used at the Farmstand May 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025. Sales end April 26.

Hands-On Outdoor Education

After-School and Summer Programs Available

Sign your kids up for amazing after school or summer experiences on the farm. Participants spend a fun-filled week (or more!) connecting with nature, exploring farm habitats, and caring for farm animals and the education garden. Find single day programs for K-3, week-long programs for grades 1-8, and farm internships for 9-12th graders!

FREE Spring Walking Tour of the Farm

Saturday, May 3, 10-11:30am

Join us for a free walking tour of the farm. See what's happening in the fields, greenhouse, and hoop houses, and learn more about regenerative farming practices. See farm animals, including a new resident herd of goats! All ages are welcome, but the information will be geared toward 16+. The walk is free!
