Class of 2026-2027: Year One Fellows & Mentors

C.S. Lewis Institute Northeast Ohio

2026 Retreat Highlights!

On September 11-13, the C.S. Lewis Institute Northeast Ohio gathered at beautiful Berlin Resort, for our 13th annual Fellows Fall retreat--a time set apart for reflection, renewal, and deepening their walk with Christ. Year One Fellows shared their testimonies with each other and their mentors. The experience bonded the groups, and reminded us that this Christian walk is not to happen in isolation.

Through teaching rooted in Scripture and inspired by the legacy of C.S. Lewis, we explored what it means to love God with heart, mind, soul and strength.

Year One explored themes centered on "Receiving God's Grace" and "Following Jesus Christ." Both Fellow & Mentors attended a lecture by Resident Scholar, Daniel Semelsberger, who has been with the Institute since 2015.

Fellows shared life together in prayer, conversation, and community--growing in grace and truth.

It was a weekend of encouragement, rest, and joy--strengthening friendships, making new friends, and renewing our call to live as wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ.

On Sunday morning, the groups attended a worship service together. Mr. Dale Boston preached on "Understanding True Conversion," and Lauren Semelsberger led us in worship to close our time together.

Once again, we want to take a moment to thank our partners and generous donors for their support. Our impact in the world is not the success of a "program". It is the heart-changing transformation by the Holy Spirit that our Fellows experience that makes them eager to Go and Make Disciples of Jesus Christ.
