Connecting People to God's Grace

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Dear Grace Families,

It’s been a great Christian Education week at Grace! This past Sunday, our students sang in the 10:30 service. Thank you to all who participated; you sounded great! Then on Monday, over 400 students and grandparents attended Grandparents’ Day. Thank you to all who helped out with that event! On Tuesday, President Herbst and Principal Leifer from Michigan Lutheran High School had lunch with our students. Wednesday was principal for a day and Titan take-over. The top Titans on the Track earners from the lower grade, Nick D. and Ryan D., spent the day as junior principals, and each grade winner and two wild-card winners got to teach a class in a different classroom. Thursday was the annual 8th grade vs. faculty volleyball game, and on Friday, we finished the Titans on the Track events with the egg roulette challenge. We thank God for our school and the opportunity to share His Word each and every day, and have some fun as well!

Principal for a Day - As mentioned above, the low grades student and the upper grades student who raised the most with Titans on the Track won the prize of principal for a day. Two students in the lower grades raised the same amount, so both were principals this past Wednesday. Here is what they had to say:

Ryan - “The best was teaching class and making awards for 3rd grade.”

Nick - “I liked teaching math class.”

Next week, Kennedy G. from the upper graders will be to be principal for a day.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - Parent-teacher conferences are next Thursday and Friday. Please sign up! Next Friday, November 6 is a half day for kindergarten through 8th grade (11:45 dismissal). There is no preschool or young 5’s on Friday.

🍎 Help Wanted: Hot Lunch Volunteers!

Need help for this coming Wednesday, October 28
and the month of November.

Grace Lutheran’s Christmas Shoppe is changing this year, and we urgently need volunteers to keep this tradition alive! Due to our growing school, the fellowship hall is now a permanent classroom. To adapt, the entire event will take place on Friday, December 4, 2026, in the gymnasium.

This staple tradition lets students experience the joy of giving by shopping for loved ones, while raising vital funds for local and worldwide mission work. Because all students will now shop on a single day, we need all hands on deck. If we do not get enough volunteers, we will not be able to host the event this year.

How You Can Help

We need committed volunteers for the following roles:

  • Donations: Collecting and organizing items ahead of time.
  • Thursday Night: Late-night setup.
  • Friday (All Day): Shopping helpers and gift wrappers.
  • Friday Night: Take down and cleanup.

Take Action

  • Sign up to volunteer: Please click [this link] to submit your availability.
  • Questions? Contact Stephanie Crowder at (989) 400-7791.
  •

Thank you for helping us support our kids and our missions!
