Register your business! For members we are promoting and highlighting for FREE your restaurant, retail shop and experiences pinned on the map (left) and listed with hyper-links (right). All will be on-line, social media and pushed throughout the community. You must complete the form to be listed. We will update the map regularly though the summer as you submit.
-Retailers consider placing tables and racks of merchandise outside on the First Thursdays leaving a 5ft pedestrian walkway. Amplified music will be playing from the light poles on Main Street. Register your business, so we can pin you on the map and if you have a promo, lets us know, so we can share. Don't forget to add pics!
-Restaurants Submit any promos, do you have outside dining, carry-out specials, news, events? What makes you stand out? Register so we can pin you and list you.
-Beverage Houses Submit your specialty beverages/cocktails, have a patio party, consider hosting a piece of local artwork that we can direct folks into your doors.
-Experiences Can your business host a walk-up experience such as classes, consultations, demos, tutorials, tastings, movies? Let us know!
-The Glen Ellyn Flower Pot Trail we will once again line the streets with hand painted flower pots. This year the theme is 'trees', sponsored by Bottle & Bottega, co-hosted by Go-Green Glen Ellyn and hand painted by a dozen local green organizations.
|
|
Other ways for your business to be involved, become a SPONSOR with your logo and signage, or become an EXPO and be present on-site and be able to talk directly to the community and your customers.
|
|
Each month will be promoted separately and included will be the sponsors, expos and above map/listing with participating members as we receive the information.
|
|
This is our first year with this event. With each concert, we will learn and pivot to make the next better. Please help with any suggestions and ideas you have to grow the event and to showcase your company and our members better.

Rebuilding Our Downtown: Streetscape Project Update
Construction on Phase 1 of the Village of Glen Ellyn’s streetscape project kicked off on Tuesday, March 15. All businesses within the Central Business District have remained open, and public access to Village garages and lots continues to be available.
This phase has focused on the area south of the railroad tracks along Main and Duane streets, with driveways, streets and sidewalks removed to provide access to underground utility work that has been completely replaced, including sanitary sewers, water mains, water service transfers and storm sewers. All of the major underground utility work has been completed, including AT&T and Nicor relocations.

Roosevelt Road Hotel Properties Redevelopment Update
Since the Village purchased the two hotel properties in January 2022, the Board has convened an Ad Hoc Work Group to discuss potential uses for the site including but not limited to commercial uses such as retail and restaurants, various housing options, and office/medical uses. The Village Board with the Ad Hoc Work Group and representatives from the Plan Commission, Environmental Commission, Capital Improvement Commission and Village staff will participate in a design concept charrette for the site. Concepts will be posted to the website for public input and brought to the Plan Commission and the Village Board for discussion and additional public input. The Village Board will then determine which concepts should be pursued for redevelopment.

Walk Your Wheels
Pedestrian safety is a top priority in the Glen Ellyn. To help keep everyone safe, the Village asks you not to ride bicycles, skateboards, scooters, in-line skates or roller-skates on the sidewalks Downtown. You can ride on the streets, but on sidewalks please, WALK YOUR WHEELS!

Glen Ellyn Business Leaders' Forum
|
The Glen Ellyn Business Leaders' Forum is comprised of non-competing businesses that provide products and services to businesses and consumers. Because each member represents a different industry we have industry specific expertise we openly share with the group. We want to share what we know so that we each become better business owners, and in turn can provide guidance to our clients and customers with relevant referrals.
Members collaborate to form effective referral partnerships for the markets they serve in Glen Ellyn and Chicago's Western Suburbs.

IL State Required Anti-Sexual Harassment Training
In 2019, the Illinois Legislature passed the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act. As a result, employers must provide anti-sexual harassment training to their employees at least once per year. Failure to do so could result in employers being fined by the Department of Human Rights.
Rick Lofgren and Charles Wentworth of The Law Office of Lofgren & Wentworth, P.C. have recorded a 20-minute presentation that you can use to provide the training to your employees, and they have been gracious enough to let the Chamber use for its members. For $10 per employee, we will provide to you a link to the video, as well as the Certificates of Participation for each employee who views the program.
Did you complete your Anti-Sexual Harassment Training? If not, register today so you and your employees can complete this requirement.
*This program is NOT for restaurants or bars. We will soon email you when a presentation will be available for those serving alcohol.
$10 per Chamber Member Employee
*A link to the video and the Certificates of Participation for the employee who views the program
