Greetings!
I sincerely hope that this newsletter finds you doing well, staying healthy, and getting ready for a productive and enjoyable summer. Personally, it is hard to believe that it has been over two years since we were forced to transition our teacher training and student programing fully online. Since March 2020, we have all worked very hard to make sure that our economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship education programs continue to reach our educators and their students – and we have been successful. In 2021, we even had a chance to virtually celebrate our 50th anniversary by honoring our founder, Professor James O’Neill, while providing the CEEE with the financial stability it will need to continue to be a leader in education for the next 50 years! Please know that we are incredibly grateful for the support that you have provided to the CEEE over the past two years – we couldn’t have done it without you, our teachers, our supporters, and our friends who are always there for us and for our communities.
While this spring has continued to present challenges for all of us, it has been wonderful to see the progress we have made together as we transition back to a safe in-person delivery mode. For example, just over the past two months, we have worked with our community friends and volunteers to bring back the Personal Finance Challenge competition and Teach Children to Save Day. Soon, we will be welcoming 23 educators to Lerner College for their second summer in the Master of Arts in Economics and Entrepreneurship for Educators program (but just their first chance to interact with all their peers face-to-face). We are excited about our other summer programs and look forward to a productive and engaging fall.
Regardless of the delivery method we use, or the circumstances we face, we all want to be remembered for having helped others reach their potential. In partnership with you, we will continue to inspire students of all ages, imparting knowledge that will surely serve them well in their personal and professional futures. Indeed, the work that we are accomplishing together is important, it will be remembered, and it does make a difference. We look forward to accomplishing more together and truly thank you for your support.
Onward and upward,
