Originally from Pittsburgh, now a Northwest local, contemporary realist and pop-art expressionist, Kait Schoeb is nationally known for her painting skill in both acrylic and oil. While many of her works are created in a hyper-realistic style, Kait captures whimsical and surreal elements within each of her paintings.
Working in both large- and small-scale paintings, her art is sought after by private and corporate collectors. Kait has been commissioned for works of all kinds, including portraits of the mayor of Pittsburgh and several of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Desiring to have a positive impact on the community, Kait has done several special event “live paintings”, donating these pieces to various local and national charities including The Human Rights Campaign and the Make-A-Wish charity. Kait also loves to donate her time hosting Paint Nights for the children and families of the Ronald McDonald House of Children’s Hospital to enjoy a night of fun and painting.
Kait states:
“My passion and favorite subject to paint is people. I feel like the more I paint the person, the more they come to life. They become a real person to me and their face portrays a mysterious life to the public. I also love aspects of humor and personality that comes through each piece.”
