Moosehaven Living

Life is Better Together

Friendship doesn’t have an age limit. In fact, staying socially connected can make life at every stage more enjoyable, meaningful, and fulfilling. Being around other people does more than give us someone to talk to. Social connection can:

  • Support mental and emotional well-being
  • Boost our mood
  • Reduce feelings of stress and isolation
  • Give us a greater sense of purpose and belonging.

Social circles naturally change over the years, but that doesn’t mean it’s never too late to meet someone new, build a friendship, or even find love. In fact, two of our residents recently found love right here in our community and tied the knot, proving that meaningful connections can happen at any stage of life.

Resident Activities

Love Blooms at Moosehaven

Last month, our campus was filled with love and joy as Don Bell married his beloved, Barbara Springfield, in a beautiful ceremony conducted by Moosehaven’s Executive Director, Helen Taylor. Surrounded by friends, fellow residents, and staff, their special day was a wonderful reminder that it’s never too late to celebrate love and to begin a new chapter.

From shared memories and everyday moments, to saying “I do,” Don and Barbara are proof that love can bring excitement, companionship, and happiness at every stage of life.

Congratulations, Don and Barbara! May your life together be filled with many more wonderful memories, laughter, and love.

Casino Night at Moosehaven: Oh What a Night!

The lights were bright, the tables were ready, and the fun was rolling at Casino Night at Moosehaven!

The Resident Activity Committee, led by Leanna Miller and Jim Fleming, with help from Campus Activities Director Donna Rothermel, put together an unforgettable evening filled with Vegas-style excitement, plenty of laughter, and a little friendly competition!

Residents tried their luck at Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, Plinko, the Slot Machine, and more. With volunteers and staff members running the tables, everyone had a chance to join in the fun and enjoy the excitement of casino night right here on the Moosehaven campus.
