Catastrophic Insurance Enrollment
The NAIA has finalized a two-year extension of our catastrophic insurance program with Mutual of Omaha and AHP Sports (formerly Risk Strategies). Coverage remains mandatory for NAIA member institutions and covers all NAIA student-athletes.
For 2026-27, benefits and the $35,000 deductible remain unchanged. Premiums will increase by 3% in 2026-27, with no increase in 2027-28. As a reminder, having coverage in place up to $35,000—whether through the student-athlete or the institution—helps avoid any gap before catastrophic coverage applies.
Enrollment is completed in NAIA Connect after submission of your Declaration of Intent (DOI). Sports selected on the DOI will pre-populate the insurance form; institutions must enter participant estimates. The form and payment are due July 15, 2026.
Additional details, including premiums, are available at naia.org/insurance.
