SHOUT-OUTS!

The following are shout-outs and thank-yous to and from various members of our community.

Have a shout-out or thank-you to share? Anyone in our community can submit one by emailing news@isptsa.org.

A huge round of applause for the International School Drama Club, 'The Titan Players', on their amazing performances of 'Sense and Sensibility' this past weekend!

A big congratulations to all the talented actors who shone on stage, the dedicated Techies who built the incredible sets, created the costumes, and ran all the backstage logistics, and the hardworking parents that made it all possible. Your hard work truly paid off.

Well done, everyone!

The International School Band program sends a huge thank you to the ISPTSA for its generous grant of $902.74 to fund Makemusic student memberships. This software is an essential tool that allows our musicians to practice effectively and refine their skills both in the classroom and at home.

Thank you to the ISPTSA for the generous $2,016.36 grant for PE supplies. The new bucket golf game is a fantastic addition to our curriculum that will provide students with a fun, engaging, and new way to stay active.

The Choir is incredibly grateful for the $650.00 grant to cover the iJazz Workshop Clinician. Working with a professional mentor provides an unforgettable learning experience that truly elevates our vocal jazz performance skills.

Thank you to the ISPTSA for its $225.85 grant to purchase a new speaker stand for our ASB events. This equipment is vital for ensuring our assemblies and gatherings run smoothly and that every student voice can be heard clearly.

A massive thank you to the ISPTSA for the $1,101.96 grant to fund the red carpet for the Snowflake Assembly. This addition will bring a wonderful sense of occasion and elegance to the event, making the experience truly memorable for the student body.

The FBLA club extends its sincere gratitude to the ISPTSA for the $600.00 grant to cover registration fees for the National Leadership Conference. This grant empowers our students to represent International School on a national stage and gain invaluable career and leadership experience.

BELLEVUE PTSA COUNCIL NEWS

HELP BELLEVUE LIFESPRING FEED LOCAL STUDENTS

More than 25% of Bellevue students, over 4,750, qualify for SNAP benefits. They did not receive their regular SNAP benefits this month, due to the government shutdown and it will take time to get everything up and running again.

Bellevue Lifespring is asking our community to help them fill the gap. Here's how you can help (quoting from an email from Jenna Fischer, Lifespring Executive Director):

  • Give $40 today:  $40 provides a grocery store food voucher to feed a child for a week offering families the dignity to choose food that best meets their nutritional needs and cultural preferences. It isn't simply a donation, it's a lifeline.
  • Set up a recurring gift: A $40 monthly donation sustains nutritional support for a child throughout the year.
  • Spread the word: Forward this urgent message. Please share with your friends and family why it's crucial to join this community effort.
  • Contribute Food: Drive change by donating to our friends at Renewal Food Bank or Hopelink Bellevue Market and Service Center.

Every dollar you invest will help provide nutrition support for children right here in Bellevue. Use this link to donate: https://www.bellevuelifespring.org/give-nutrition-support/

SKATE FOR ISPTSA: A FUN FUNDRAISER AT THE BELLEVUE ICE RINK

The Bellevue Downtown Association is offering a fantastic and easy fundraising opportunity for International School at the Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink.

From November 21, to January 19, our PTSA will receive $3 for every student, parent, or staff member who visits the rink and mentions our school.

This is a simple way to raise funds for our programs just by having fun!

How It Works

  1. Go Skating: Visit the Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink at Bellevue Downtown Park (south of Bellevue Square) anytime between November 21 and January 19.
  2. Mention Our School: When you arrive and check in, you must notify the rink staff that you are with International School.
  3. That's It! Our PTSA will automatically get credit for your visit.

Important Note: The $3 donation can only be tracked when you notify the staff in person upon arrival. It is not tracked through the online e-ticketing platform, so please don't forget this simple but critical step!

You can buy tickets online to secure your spot at the region's largest covered, open-air ice skating experience. See the flyer here.

We hope all our Titan families can enjoy the ice this season and support our school at the same time!
