Please join Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way, Lisle IL 60532, in welcoming Biskop Torkild Masvie, March 6, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Biskop Torkild Masvie is the head of the Lutheran Church in Norway and Iceland. It is a small Lutheran church body that is spread over two large countries with diverse cultures and languages. He will presenting the joys and challenges of spreading the Gospel in these countries. Voice of Care's FREE Set to Serve: Respite and Companion Care is a FREE workshop, March 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 540 Oak Park Ave., Beecher, IL 60401. This event includes lunch. The workshop is open to all, hosted by the LCMS Churches of Beecher, Illinois, and made possible by a grant from The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Northern Illinois District. LWML 2023 Lenten Inspiration



LWML will hold their 2023 Lenten Inspiration March 18, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 505 South Park Road, LaGrange, IL, 60525. Come hear from Rev. Dr. David Peter and Rev. Dr. Allan Buss, while we reflect on the hope that is brought to us in Lent. Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 10, 2023.

March for Life: Springfield


The Illinois March for Life is ready for your voice and presence Tuesday, March 21, 2023.


  • Matins service at Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield (CID President Rev. Michael Mohr, preacher) at 10:30 a.m.
  • Gather for the Rally on Capitol grounds at 12:00 p.m.
  • Bring your pro-life gear and signs!
  • Following the Rally, March with us around the Capitol at 1:00 p.m.

To make it easier for your attendance, a charter bus has been rented for the day. Departure will be from Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 1881 W. Division St, Manteno, IL 60950 at 7:00 a.m. Return time to Manteno at 7:00 p.m. Limited to the first 55 seat participants. $10/person. Walk Thru the Bible’s New Testament Seminar


This seminar will teach attendees the major events, people, and chronology of the New Testament and understand its storyline. It’s fun, too! Attendees will learn the material using hand signs, catch phrases, group reviews, and enjoyable – and very often hilarious – interaction with the instructor. The seminar is hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Road, Burr Ridge, IL 60527, Saturday, April 22, 2023. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

Confessionalism Seminar


Hear from experts, present one’s own research, and closely study original texts, leading to a deeper understanding of the church’s and the theologian’s commitment to the Lutheran Confessions today.


The seminar will be held June 1-3, 2023, a 3-day, 2-night event at Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta St., River Forest, IL 60305. Registration fee of $150 with stipends available for students.

Vocatio


Vocatio is a retreat held June 24, 2023 through July 1, 2023, that encourages high schoolers to find God’s calling for their lives through experiencing many aspects of the Seminary including worship and devotions, sessions with professors, and even some fun and recreation!


Open to high school men and women entering grades nine through twelve, the event is free and held at Concordia Seminary, 801 Seminary Place, Saint Louis, MO 63105. Registration deadline is June 10, 2023.

Get Ready to SHINE!


The LCMS Northern Illinois District is shining a spotlight on service from April 14-23, 2023. Throughout the district, groups of 2 or more people are asked to give witness to the love of Jesus through acts of service to their neighbors and communities. Simply join with some people from your church, school, small group, ministry group, family, etc., and serve together in a project of your own choosing.

The administrative assistant assists the church office coordinator in maintaining an effective and orderly church office, provides dependable administrative support to the director of music in areas pertaining to worship service preparation, serves as the primary church office receptionist, provides telephone support, assist with walk-ins, and greet visitors, and assists other church staff, congregation members, and church leaders with clerical ministry needs as able.
