Wake Forest Community Table has just completed its ninth summer of service in the Northeast End of Wake Forest. We are a grassroots volunteer lead nonprofit. Over the years, we’ve grown, adapted, and reimagined how we serve—but at our core, we’ve remained committed to: gathering neighbors for food, conversation, and connection.
Since the summer of 2017, we’ve served tens of thousands of meals—each one an opportunity to nourish the body, build relationships, foster understanding, and address the systems that make our work necessary.
We began at Olive Branch Baptist Church, where we still serve every Wednesday night, year-round. From serving 10 weeks, twice daily, in our first summer, we now serve about 5,000 meals annually at that site alone.
In 2020, we expanded to Hope House, where we serve on Monday nights—another 5,000+ meals each year.
Now, with over eight years of relationships built, stories shared, and community grown, we are preparing to deepen and expand our impact—and to do that, we are launching our first-ever capital campaign.
Until now, we’ve operated with the unwavering support of six local churches, generous individual donors, ARPA funds from the Town of Wake Forest (expiring at the end of 2026) and small local grants. This support has built a solid foundation. Now we seek to build a sustainable future, continue to expand our reach and connect with more people in our community.
We hope you will be 1 in 100 to advance our mission- Here are ways that you can join the Table:
→ Become a sustainer at $83.33/month (14 meals/month)
→ Make a one time donation of $1000 (167 meals)
→ Make a one time or monthly pledge that works best for you
and know that all donations provide meals, fresh produce and build connections in our community.
Spread the word about Wake Forest Community Table and help us sustain this grassroots and beloved program!
