Actively and Passively Managed Global Listed Infrastructure Mandate Search

While you're in the room, here's an opportunity worth knowing about.

The Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System (LACERS), a $27 billion public pension fund, is seeking qualified investment management firms to manage up to approximately $550 million in an actively managed global listed infrastructure strategy and up to approximately $800 million in a passively managed global listed infrastructure strategy. Emerging managers are encouraged to participate in this search, subject to LACERS investment policies.

Fundraising in 2026: What the Data Says (and What It Means for You)

• LP interest hasn't disappeared, but it's increasingly concentrated around emerging managers who demonstrate operational maturity and a truly differentiated strategy — with 56% of managers actively fundraising and average close timelines stretching beyond 15 months, standing out early matters
• LPs evaluate on three things above all else — team experience, investment strategy, and consistency of performance — knowing this shapes how you tell your story
• New routes to LP attention are emerging — university endowment incubator programs, LinkedIn callouts generating 450+ responses, and general solicitation (publicly marketing your fund to accredited investors under SEC Reg D) are all becoming legitimate tools
• Who you partner with matters — LPs are scrutinizing third-party relationships more than ever, and operational infrastructure is no longer a back-office afterthought
