"Meet the Maestro" in Person!

Join Newton Community Pride as we host Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart for an intimate evening of conversation at Showcase SuperLux Chestnut Hill on Wednesday, November 8th. Newton Community Pride is thrilled to offer this special evening as our 2nd annual event honoring a Newton resident who is an outstanding leader in the field of arts and culture.

Jim Braude, co-host of Boston Public Radio, will be returning this year to interview Lockhart about his extraordinary musical career, his experiences collaborating with a diverse range of artists, and his remarkable 28 years leading the Boston Pops.

"Keith Lockhart is one of my favorite people. I'm thrilled to partner again with Newton Community Pride, the perfect organization to showcase Keith's immense contributions to the arts. Trust me, attendees will learn he's as entertaining a talker as he is a conductor," Braude stated.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets will benefit Newton Community Pride.

Ticket price includes light hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, and a dessert reception. Newton Community Pride thanks Showcase SuperLux for hosting this event.

Green Newton, in collaboration with Service Stars, revealed their bottle cap mural this week. The project, created by students, focuses on promoting conservation and sustainability, and the mural itself was made entirely out of recycled bottle caps.

Green Newton will be displaying the mural at the GreenEXPO at the Newton Harvest Fair on October 14 and 15 in Newton Centre. Be sure to stop by the Harvest Fair to view the Bottle Cap Mural in person.
