Missions Newsletter - September 2026

Happy September, St. Luke’s Family!

August brought us back into the swing of fall with a whole lot of serving, connecting, and showing up for our community! On Serve Sunday, 170 St. Lukers packed 365 food bags for ministry partners and local schools, made 250 sandwiches and 200 Blessing Bags for One Heart for Women and Children, created 200 gift bags for Meals on Wheels recipients, and assembled 1,000 hygiene kits for Christian Service Center’s new shower program. We welcomed new friends at the Fall Kickoff Ministry Fair, greeted students and families at Maxey’s Meet the Teacher, and gathered for a lunch-and-learn on the Tourist Tax.

We shared meals with Matthew’s Hope, Coalition for the Homeless, and Circles West Orange. Our Early Response Team also partnered with First Orlando to help a local homeowner in need.

August was a beautiful reminder of what happens when we put our faith into action. Thank you for continuing to serve, connect, and make a difference in our community!

Below are some things to look forward to in September and the months to come!

We partnered with Zebra Youth for our summer production of The Prom!

While our production of The Prom is over, there's still a way to keep the love going. If you would like to continue supporting LGBTQ+ youth, please join us in donating to Zebra Youth at the link below.

September Ministry Highlight

Through our St. Luke’s family of donors and volunteers, our monthly dinner at Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida provides nourishment for the body and soul of others in our community.

This St. Luke’s team truly embodies the spirit of Jesus in how we serve the people in our community.
