Wednesday, November 4, 2026

New York City, NY

The BBA is proud to bring its Institutional Series to New York City on November 4, 2026, hosted at Aon’s NYC office. The program will open with a fireside chat featuring Debra Brookes, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, moderated by James Knox, Managing Director at Aon and BBA Board Member. As institutional interest in digital assets continues to grow, the event will bring together leaders across asset management, financial infrastructure, risk, and digital assets to examine the progress being made, the challenges that remain, and the path forward. Discussions will explore digital asset ETFs, Bitcoin as an institutional asset, tokenization, stablecoins, onchain finance, and emerging use cases across payments, treasury management, private credit, real estate, and other assets.

A dedicated panel, Navigating Institutional Adoption of DeFi as well as Associated Challenges & Risks, will examine how decentralized finance is evolving alongside traditional financial markets. Alex Krasnow, DeFi Lead at Aon, will moderate the discussion with Alim Khamisa of OP Labs, David Knox of Hyperion DeFi, and Olivia Vande Woude of Ava Labs. A second panel, Institutional Adoption of Digital Assets in 2026: What’s Changing, will be moderated by Doug Mehne, CEO of Fortary Labs and BBA Chair, and feature Patrick Bush of VanEck, John D’Agostino of Coinbase, Andrew McCormick of Chainlink Labs, and Jeremy Pollack of USAT by Tether.

The program will also address the counterparty, liquidity, custody, and operational risks shaping institutional decision making, along with the infrastructure and standards needed for broader participation. The event will focus on real-world developments, emerging use cases, and actionable takeaways for institutions navigating the next phase of digital asset adoption, followed by a networking reception.
