FAREWELL GUYLAINE AND CONGRATULATIONS LAYLA!
March was a big month for us over here at the Chamber. As some of you know, at our AGM we said goodbye to our wonderful Board Director, Michelle Hardy, and our cherished, long time colleague, friend and Visitor Experience Manager, Guylaine St-Gelais. Guylaine was with our Chamber for over 7 years, holding many titles over her tenure with us. Her immeasurable contributions throughout her years have created projects that impacted Revelstoke for the better; her dedication and her work is thoroughly felt throughout our organisation and our community. We are so excited to see her grow in her next adventure. Thank you for absolutely everything, Guylaine!

With this transition, we have some very exciting news to announce; Layla Rundle, our former Visitor Centre Manager, has been promoted to Visitor Experience Manager and we have recently just welcomed our newest team member on board to take the role of the Visitor Centre Coordinator, more information to come soon.

Please join us in our sincerest farewell to Guylaine and our huge congratulations to Layla and our warm welcome to Nicole!

Here is a little more information about Layla and a friendly "I'll see you soon" from Guylaine:
"Hi, my name is Layla Rundle. Who am I? Well... I was born in South Africa but grew up in Australia. I came over to Canada in 2018 and have been working at the Visitor Centre Since April 2019. I just bought my first home here in August. Revelstoke was a destination that at first I was enjoying just being a traveller however, now it is a place I call home.

I am a creative person and one of my passions in my personal time is creating travel and outdoor content on social media platforms to inspire others to explore the world.

Having been at the Visitor Centre since 2019 I have experienced several job positions. My experience in these different roles has provided me with the knowledge and experience that has led me to the evolution to where I am now and I am thrilled to be taking on this new opportunity as the Visitor Experience Manager. I can’t wait to connect with members on the many marketing opportunities to come!
Reach out to me here: visitor.exp@revelstokechamber.com." - Layla Rundle

"After almost 8 years with the Chamber, working closely with Tourism Revelstoke and the City of Revelstoke has been extremely rewarding. I‘ve learned so much but mostly, Revelstoke has taken my heart more than it already did! I am looking forward to continue working with the community for years to come. I only say 'see you soon'!"
- Guylaine St-Gelais
