This past weekend, the bodies of six of the hostages from the October 7th, 2023 attack were recovered from Gaza, including Israeli American Hersh Goldberg-Polin.

It is under no circumstance that the acts taken by Hamas upon innocent people are an erroneous abomination – and must come to an end. We, as a united community, must come together – counter disinformation with facts – and support each other.

As many of us are deeply grieving the recent loss of life as well as the torment of the unknown for the kidnapped hostages, it is always helpful to seek support. I support Westchester County Executive George Latimer’s order for flags to be raised at County-owned facilities to fly at half-staff to honor the American hostages who were brutally kidnapped and murdered by Hamas. Westchester County stands united against terrorism and in solidarity with the Jewish community.

I had a blast joining the Star of Bethlehem Church community this past Saturday for the back-to-school sneaker giveaway. I want to thank the many Ossining organizations running multiple back-to-school donation programs. We are all part of a very giving community.

It's the first day of school! I wish the students, faculty, and administration good luck for the 2024-2025 school year – remember to drive safely.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Saturday's Farmer's Market to meet folks from the Project Mover Team.

If you were not able to be there – and have any questions, please get in touch with the support team at projectmover@nelsonnygaard.com and visit the bike share website: https://projectmoverbikeshare.com/
