We Help Families Start Over

Hello New Life Warehouse Friends! Welcome to the June 2026 Edition of our newsletter. Our mission statement is to "restore hope, dignity and stability by delivering donated furniture to families recovering from homelessness." We consider it an honor to be able to help families in need. Thank you for your support of our mission!

Teen Tuesdays starts on June 9th. The registration link can be found in the article below. We will make weekend deliveries again on the 13th and 27th of June. If you've never delivered with us before, we invite you to come and experience the joy of serving others. At New Life Warehouse we rely on our volunteers to sort, organize, deliver and perform many tasks behind the scenes to help us serve our families. Our volunteers are our most valuable resources and we are grateful for every one of you.

University of Tampa Delivers Again!

University of Tampa held their third annual collection drive for New Life Warehouse. The university’s President’s Leadership Fellows are a group of student leaders who are selected for a program that encourages students to think critically about their leadership capacity both at the university and in the community at large.

The students coordinated with a variety of university departments, including Res Life, Campus Security and Housing, to lead a successful collection drive when students moved out of the dorms at the end of the semester. They collected clothes and food for other nonprofits, and then furniture and household goods for NLW. Each year the students review notes from the previous year's collection and then refine their processes to improve the campaign.

This year’s drive was another massive success. We are SO appreciative of the student’s efforts. Instead of going to the landfill, at least TWO TONS of items will be given to families in need. Thank you UT! We can’t wait to see you again next year!

Teen Tuesdays are Back!!

We love young volunteers! Especially ones that are willing to come into a hot warehouse and work hard.

Teen Tuesdays start again on Tuesday, June 9th and will run through July 28th. Registration is open now and available to all students ages 12-18.  The hours are from 10am-12pm each Tuesday. We are limiting registration to 20 students per week. Each student must have a waiver on file completed by their parents, which is provided in the registration link below.

Donate for Teen Tuesdays

We love offering Teen Tuesdays as a way for young people to serve their community over the summer. It helps them fulfill their volunteer hours, but also allows them to do something meaningful to help others.

We buy a considerable amount of supplies to make sure the students have dressers and toddler beds to assemble, and art supplies so they can make art for the families we serve.

Please consider making a donation to help us purchase these supplies and Help Families Start Over.

Everything was Gone

Seasoned Volunteer Greg Stark shared these thoughts after a delivery in May:

"A year ago, a single mom and her two teenagers lost everything in a hurricane. Since then, they’ve been doing their best to start over.

They’ve been sleeping on air mattresses, sitting on folding chairs, and making the best of what they had. The mom said, “I didn’t care if I slept on the floor with a comforter as long as my kids had a place to sleep.”

Even through the struggle, she kept her faith. She believed God would provide, and somehow the blessing always came.

Tonight, thanks to New Life Warehouse, they are sleeping in beds. They can finally sit together in their living room, play games, laugh, and just feel at home again.

Sometimes the smallest things become the biggest blessings."

I am Grateful for the Blessings

Faithful volunteer Cassie Phillips recently shared her testimony about volunteering with NLW:

"In 2023 I was looking for an opportunity to serve the community- I had heard of New life Warehouse and decided to start there. I began volunteering with the hope of helping others, but little did I know my own heart and faith would be transformed in the process.

When I began volunteering with New Life Warehouse I was curious about God but new to my faith. Through the work of serving families in need, my relationship with Christ deepened. When I work alongside the other volunteers I see a group of people who want to bless others and be the hands and feet of Jesus . I see and feel God’s love through the work being done here.

At NLW, there is a sense of community and shared purpose amongst the volunteers. I’ve met friends and mentors. New Life Warehouse’s reach goes beyond the thousands of families they have served - the organization has even changed my life as a volunteer. I am so grateful for the countless, unexpected blessings that have followed my decision to volunteer with New Life Warehouse."

Thank you Cassie, for being a part of our NLW family.

I Truly Thank You

In May we were blessed to be able to serve a wonderful young lady who shared this note with us after her delivery:

"I wanted to say thank you again, and please thank everyone that came this morning again for me please. I’ve been cleaning, rearranging and unpacking the rest of my life out of bags finally. I cried when they left earlier, I could only tell God thank you! I cried as I folded the last bag as well. I’ve been on a journey, something a lot won’t understand but I’m sure you do. I had to stop running and live the life he wanted me to live, I have so much to say but it’s all a testimony. No matter the price tag of something I’ve gained and lost, it’s always been the smaller things that matter the most to me. I was able to put my socks away properly, I’m happy for that. But I truly thank you! Maybe one day I can tell you everything." 🩷 "Jennifer"

Volunteer Spotlight - Golden Movers & Storage

We are so grateful for community partnerships. It's been such a blessing for us to be able to work with and get to know Joshua Finklea, Owner and President of Golden Movers, and his wonderful staff. Joshua's faith plays a central role in every area of his life, including how he operates Golden Movers.

In May Golden Movers performed an incredible act of service by helping us clean out an entire dorm at the University of South Florida. This involved loading and unloading nearly 500 pieces of furniture! As we all know, moving things is a lot of work!

We are so grateful for our friends at Golden Movers - they are generous, polite, hardworking, and dependable. Joshua and Team, we can't thank you enough!
