Dear Church,
As I reflect on Sunday’s historic opening of our new sanctuary, my cup is overflowing with joy and gratitude for all that God has done. During the opening song at the 9a service, I was struck silent in the midst of the glorious sounds of our celebration choir and musicians washing over us in that beautiful sacred space. I have told several people I experienced the “Fear of the Lord”…a sense of reverential awe reported by the biblical writers. I felt like I was standing inside a dream. That’s what it feels like when God fulfills promises.
By every measure, the day was a resounding success—marked by a record-setting attendance of 692 people across both services (350 at 9a & 342 at 10:45a - thank you for registering your attendance!), smooth operations in our nursery and Kid’s Worship, wonderfully engaging hospitality, clear audio/visual delivery, and the attentive and warm professionalism of our usher and security teams.
Just like moving into a new home, it takes a few weeks to get everything in its proper place and be ready. We have some additional internal signage needs, some window treatments to install to mitigate morning sunlight, and various preparations and processes to refine. Between now and Thanksgiving, we will be making these final adjustments so that we will be prepared to invite friends and neighbors to visit us in the Advent season (Nov 29).
I admire the tireless devotion, positive spirit, and countess hours our staff and volunteers invested to make this move and opening possible.
Better than my own words, our BEYOND theme verse, Ephesians 3:20-21, captures our perspective on Sunday:
Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us; glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus for all generations, forever and always. Amen.

On the whole, I truly cannot imagine our first Sunday going much better. Thank each of you for your steadfast support, wisdom, and trust over these past several years. It is a privilege to be your pastor.
Now we step confidently into the bright future God has prepared for us!
I'll see you this Sunday for worship at 9a & 10:45a!
With hope,
Pastor Nathan
