MAZURKRAEMER LAW GROUP

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY FROM ALL OF US!!!!

Mesasge from Managing Partner Salene Kraemer

Dear friends, colleagues, and clients,

Happy Fourth of July from all of us at MazurKraemer Business Law.

As we head into the holiday weekend, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your friendship, support, referrals, and continued confidence in our firm. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve business owners, lenders, creditors, fiduciaries, landlords, franchisees, and companies navigating difficult financial and legal issues and opportunities.

It has been a busy and meaningful season at MazurKraemer. We have been working on a wide range of matters, including Chapter 11 and Subchapter V reorganizations, creditor representation in bankruptcy cases, commercial litigation, franchise disputes, equipment finance matters, collections, landlord/tenant disputes, workouts, forbearance agreements, and business divorce issues. We continue to focus on practical, strategic solutions for clients facing financial distress, contract disputes, and restructuring challenges. We are proud to serve as local Debtor's counsel in the Complex Chapter 11 Case of In re: Crown Boiler, LLC, pending the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

In May, I also attended the CLLA National Convention in Chicago and had the privilege of speaking on a panel addressing AI, and the practice of collections and bankruptcy law. It was energizing to connect with colleagues from across the country and discuss how technology is dramatically changing the way we practice, manage risk, and serve clients.

On the personal front, it has been a big Spring/Summer for our family as well. I dropped my son Jackson, 18, off at Villanova, where he will begin college and play football. Keira,17, also rounded out a strong junior high school year as a track athlete. She placed 1st in the emerging elite division at Nike Indoor Track Nationals in Triple Jump. Scarlett, my 8 year-old, born with microtia, also got a new right ear, made from her rib, with the mold being generated by a 3D scanner.

As we celebrate Independence Day, I am especially grateful for the clients, colleagues, and friends who make this work meaningful. Thank you for continuing to think of MazurKraemer when businesses, creditors, and professionals need experienced bankruptcy, restructuring, and commercial litigation counsel.

Wishing you and your families a safe, relaxing, and happy Fourth of July.

Warmly,

Salene Mazur Kraemer

Salene Publishes in April 2026 ABI JOURNAL: “Top 10 AI Takeaways that ABC-Certified Lawyers Say No Bankruptcy Professional Should Ignore”

For this piece, I had the privilege of interviewing several fellow American Board of Certification (ABC) board-certified bankruptcy attorneys about how they are evaluating and using AI in real-world practice: Shayna Steinfeld; Brian Davidoff; Justin Luna; Johnathan Bolton; David Prelle Eron

The consensus was clear: AI is not replacing lawyers, but lawyers who understand how to use it responsibly, ethically, and strategically will be better positioned to serve clients. The article covers practical takeaways on AI literacy, confidentiality, prompt design, efficiency, client expectations, and why human judgment remains irreplaceable.

Thank you to the ABC members who contributed their insights. ABC-certified attorneys should be leading the conversation on responsible AI use in bankruptcy and restructuring practice.

Read the article in the April 2026 ABI Journal or in this blog post.
