New Single Barrel:
Jeppson's

Jeppson's Artale & The Olympic Tavern Collaboration Kentucky Single Barrel Bourbon
$49.99
Our second collaboration barrel with The Olympic Tavern has arrived! We went back to Jeppson's after quickly blowing through our first barrel to find another that would live up to the hype of the first. This time we came out with a Kentucky Bourbon that had been slumbering away at Jeppson's for a few seasons. Originally distilled in Owensboro, Kentucky this bourbon is a very classic Kentucky mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% barley. We were shocked to find out that our barrel came out to 128.84 proof (64.42%abv) when it was finally packaged because it drinks with a ton of balance front to finish.

Cherry and fig jam lead the way with notes of fresh ground black pepper and musty, wet wood lingering underneath. Warm rye spice joins the oakiness perfectly and lets you know this is Kentucky bourbon. Lush vanilla joins the red fruit character mid-palate adding a dessert vibe. A long, persistent finish sits so pleasantly on the palate long after sipping.

In a crowded and overpriced whiskey landscape, Jeppson's continues to deliver outstanding offerings at unrivaled value. Come by some time and try this barrel for yourself and grab a bottle before it is gone for good.
WINE OF THE MONTH
Vietti
Perbacco
Nebbiolo
Langhe
2020
$26.99 reg. $29.99
92 Points James Suckling
Medium deep ruby color. Quite intense and generous fruity nose (red berries) along with floral and spicy notes, a hint of menthol and hard candy. On the pallet medium bodied, showing notable intensity while retaining an essentially mid-weight style. Strong, intense, and quite powerful when young, evolving to a complex and elegant, very well-balanced wine with ageing. The tannins are harmoniously integrated in the fruit structure of the wine. Long lasting aftertaste with good freshness.

Pair with hearty stew, wild game, roasted red meats and sharp, and aged cheeses.

This is a fresh and fruit-forward nebbiolo with notes of raspberries and cherries, orange peel and chocolate. Some dried flowers, too. Medium- to full-bodied, firm and racy with ripe but taut, compact tannins that run the whole length of the wine. Well-crafted. Long and even. Vegan. Drink or hold.

The Winery
Located in the heart of the Langhe hills, at the top of the village of Castiglione Falletto, the Vietti wine cellar was founded in the late 1800's by Carlo Vietti. The estate has gradually grown over the course of time, and today the vineyards include some of the most highly prized terroirs within the Barolo and Barbaresco winegrowing areas.

Although they have been making wine for four generations, the turning point came in the 1960's when Luciana Vietti married winemaker and art connoisseur Alfredo Currado, whose intuitions - from the production of one of the first Barolo crus (Rocche di Castiglione - 1961), through the single-varietal vinification of Arneis (1967) to the invention of Artist Labels (1974) - made him both symbol and architect of some of the most significant
revolutions of the time.

Alfredo’s intellectual, professional, and prospective legacy was taken up by Luca Currado Vietti (Luciana and Alfredo’s son) and his wife Elena, who contributed greatly to the success of the Vietti brand before their departure in 2023. In 2016 the historic winery was acquired by Krause family. Over the last seven year, they have added a number of prized crus to the estate’s holdings. In 2022 the winery was named
Winery of the Year by Antonio Galloni of Vinous.

Vietti is universally recognized today as being one of the very finest Italian wine labels - by continuing along the path of the pursuit of quality, considered experimentation and working for expansion and consolidation internationally.

Liqueur
$39.99 reg. $44.99
A French liqueur made with fresh elderflowers, hand-picked once a year in the late spring. As the world’s first, finely crafted all-natural elderflower liqueur, its flavor is as subtle and delicate as it is captivating, evidenced in its sublime notes of peach, pear, and grapefruit, yet none of them exactly. Perhaps contributing to its elusive reputation is that of French savoir faire—an inconspicuous ingredient that is all at once essential to St. Germain’s endless charm.
