Fire + hurricane = ...
Our last issue covered events through January 9, but certainly didn't predict the LA fires that changed everything, starting the day before. Since we last wrote to you, many dozens of members of the Listerhood have lost homes and belongings, and it's clear that Southern California will never be the same. We applaud all those who are gathering funds and resources to help fire victims and to help rebuild these vital artistic communities. If you have a fundraising link or resource to share, please either send it to me or post it in our Facebook group: The Listerhood.
So here's the caveat:
As things have changed so rapidly, many events have been changed, repurposed, postponed, or canceled entirely. We'll continue to report the events as found on our calendar, but PLEASE do check the original website to see the latest status for every event you're interested in. With so much happening, some presenters may not have been able to reach out to us to make changes. For all of us, this situation will be an ongoing lesson in going with the flow.
Be safe out there, and support your community any way you can. For those of you struggling to find your next steps, please keep in touch.
Big hugs for everyone!
