Representing MIAAOR at WIRE 2026

Today, our CEO, Kandy Sweeney, is attending the Florida Realtors® Women in Real Estate (WIRE) Conference in Tampa.

The annual conference brings together real estate professionals from across the state for a day focused on leadership, education, innovation, and networking. Sessions are designed to inspire attendees while providing practical strategies they can bring back to their businesses and communities.

At MIAAOR, we believe that investing in professional development strengthens our association and benefits our entire membership. We look forward to sharing highlights and key takeaways from the conference in the coming weeks.

Clean Up Florida Waters is an annual environmental initiative spearheaded by the Florida Realtors®, wherein local Realtor® associations across the state organize to remove trash from waterways.

This cleanup event has officially been scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, and will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM around Collier County waterways. Boaters, kayakers, and community volunteers are invited to register.

If you forget, you just might end up buying a washer and dryer.

NAR data points to buyers, sellers who may be closer to moving

NAR data highlighted during the association’s recent Legislative Meetings points to several groups who may be closer to buying or selling than they realize, including longtime owners, younger sellers with equity, renters, pet owners and first-time buyers with questions about financing.

Capital gains questions grow for home sellers

Rising values may leave some longtime owners with taxable gains, making early conversations about timing, records and next steps more important.
