Every October, Cooperative Center FCU joins credit unions from around the world to celebrate International Credit Union® (ICU) day. It’s the day which recognizes the credit union movement’s achievements and efforts to help their members.
This year’s celebration will be on October 21, 2021, and the theme is “Building Financial Health for a Brighter Tomorrow™.” Financial well-being is a key component to a happy life. Thinking about the future becomes less scary when you know how to manage your money. With some solid financial know-how, you become more abled to meet your current financial obligations, prepare for emergencies, or plan for your future.
Members deserve the right financial tools to build a brighter future. We believe every member deserves fair and equitable access to these tools, no matter where they are on their journey to achieve financial well-being. Cooperative Center is committed to supporting our members by providing the financial products, services, and education that will help achieve these goals. Financial wellness is a key reason why Cooperative Center was created.
Please join us to celebrate International Credit Union Day on Oct. 21, 2021 and see how we can help build your brighter tomorrow.
We’re continuing our tradition of offering a FREE Shred event. This year we’re hosting the event in Downtown Martinez in the parking lot on Ferry St, between Escobar and Marina Vista. Our Corodata van will be staged and ready to go at 12:00pm through 4:00pm. Educating members on the importance of safeguarding personal, financial, information is just one part of our Cooperative Principles. We’d love to fill the truck; however, we are asking individuals to try and stick to a limit of two (2) banker box sized boxes per person.
Driving directions from NB 680: take the Marina Vista offramp (last exit before the Benicia Bridge) and turn left. Marina Vista is a one-way street. Travel for approx. .5 mile, city owned parking lot is on the left at the corner of Ferry St.
