Stuff the Truck Fundraiser

The Cadence Club (Marching Band Boosters) is partnering with Volunteers of America (VOA) to collect donated goods. The VOA weighs the donations and writes a check to the band program based on the total weight collected.

When: Tuesday, December 9th (The night of the All City Band Concert)

Time: Donations accepted from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Where: Hayes High School (Near the main entrance/Office)

What to Donate: VOA accepts most clothing, household goods, small electronics, and toys.

How to Participate

1. Gather any gently used clothing, household items, or other eligible goods you are willing to donate.

2. Look for the VOA truck in the high school’s front loop and drop off your items between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

Thank you for considering supporting the Cadence Club and helping to "Stuff the Truck"!

Seniors should be working on scholarship applications over the next couple of months. All scholarships are posted in SchooLinks. Students should login with their Hayes Google Login or Clever Login. Once in SchooLinks, click on the College icon and then Scholarship Matching.

The Hayes Local Scholarships will be due February 27, 2026 by 3 PM to Ms. Pollard in the Counseling Office. (Just click on the scholarship name to download the application.)

The Delaware County Foundation will be posting their scholarships on January 1st.

Here is a cheat sheet of scholarships resources to help simplify the process.

House Attendance

Students are required to check in for attendance with their House Teacher in their assigned room at the start of 9th period, same as they would with any other class. If there is a special House event or they have signed up for an activity in another location, students must always check in with their House Teacher for attendance BEFORE heading over to that other location. Any student who does not check in for attendance first will be marked absent from 9th period.

Work Permits are required by law for all minors under the age of 18. For your convenience, Delaware City Schools processes Work Permits for the State of Ohio. Each change of employment will require a new Work Permit. Work Permits are kept on file until the minor turns 18.

See Work Permit Instructions and Application. Paper copies are also available at Hayes Main office.

Application (Open NOW — priority deadline is 1/9)

DACC's online application is open NOW, and this year's priority deadline will be Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. Here is the link to apply! Keep in mind, it does not matter when you apply within that application window (11/21-1/9) — as long as you're in that window! Applications submitted after the Jan. 9, 2026 priority deadline will be considered after those submitted prior to the deadline.

Open House (12/11)

DACC's community Open House will take place Thursday, Dec. 11th from 4:30-7:30 p.m. All of DACC's two-year programs, as well as DACC's senior-only Pharmacy Technician program will be on display that night. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet their instructors, talk with current students, see the labs in-person, and begin to figure out if DACC might be a good fit for you. Registration is required to attend. Please click here for more information on the event and how to register!

Off-site program Open Houses (Dec.-Jan.)

DACC will host separate Open House events in December and January for two of its off-site programs: Columbus Zoo & Aquarium School and Equine Science (Wildlife & Resource Management will host visitors at Camp Lazarus during the Dec. 11 Open House event). These additional Open House events will be held on-site for each program (the Zoo School will hold its Open House at the Columbus Zoo; the Equine Science program will hold its Open House at the Delaware County Fairgrounds). These will be great opportunities for families to explore these wonderful off-site programs! Click here for more information on dates, times and how to register!

Senior Program Open House (12/9)

DACC will hold an additional Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 9th from 5:30-7 p.m. for students interested in the following one-year, senior-only programs: Healthcare Technician and Nail Technician. These are excellent opportunities for students to get a step ahead toward career or college goals in their preferred industry. This Open House will be a fantastic opportunity to meet the instructors, talk with current students, see the labs in-person, and begin to figure out if DACC might be a good fit for you. Registration is required to attend. Please click here for more information on the event and how to register!

Group Family Tours (monthly)

Explore our labs in-person through our Group Family Tours. These are great opportunities to meet our instructors, talk with current students, and see our labs up-close-and-personal. Parents and students of all ages are encouraged to attend! DACC will hold Group Family Tours one Friday per month throughout the school year. Click here for more information on this year's tour dates and how to register!

Virtual Tour (year-round)
