The GLCEDC is holding a membership drive to expand the coalition of support from businesses in greater Livingston County. The GLCEDC is pleased that six new members have joined in 2021. The GLCEDC also collaborated with Slagel Manufacturing to create a Property Tax Abatement.

Slagel Manufacturing Property Tax Abatement
In recognition of job creation and capital investment, Slagel Manufacturing was approved for a Property Tax Abatement from the GLCEDC, Livingston County, the City of Fairbury, and Prairie Central CUSD #8. Slagel Manufacturing is adding 30,000 square feet of new construction and is committed to at least $2 million of capital investment. Slagel Manufacturing anticipates construction to be complete by fall 2021.
