This Sunday, the Board of Trustees recognized The American Legion, Ossining Post, No. 506, for being an integral part of our community for 100 years. They are the oldest veteran's organization in Ossining. Although the pandemic may have altered some of the Legion's regular activities for a period of time, it remains a steadfast support for our veterans and many community members. Under its current leadership with Frank J. Faiella, Jr. as its Commander, and with the help of its members, Post 506 has been able to endure as a vital institution here in Ossining. Mr. Faiella has been the longest-serving Post Commander, and we appreciate his dedication to the Legion Post and its members. It was nice to be joined by our County Executive, George Latimer, Sandy Galef, Trustee Dana White, and Councilwoman Liz Feldman. It was also a pleasure to see Police Chief Sylvester and his family. Please join me in celebrating the Post’s centennial year as we thank the men and women in uniform for their service to this community, state, and country.
