Student Spotlight

Each month we highlight a student whose faith has been strengthened through the Newman Center. This month, we are grateful to feature Grace.

Grace Crandall is a senior at NDSU. She is from Andover, MN and is studying Exercise Science. She is engaged to Will, who will also be entering the Church this Easter. Here is what Grace wanted to share:

"The Newman Center has been such an important part of my faith journey. Through the Bible study I joined and the events I attended, I found a community of people who welcomed me, guided me, and showed me what it looks like to live out my faith. Their support led me to become confirmed in 2024, and now I continue to grow alongside others, sharing in the joy of faith together."

Decora

A few weeks ago, nearly 75 women gathered at Newman for a two day women's retreat, Decora. The attendees were able to hear keynote talks from Sr. Jane Dominic, January Donovan, Msgr. Schlesselmann and Natalie Aughinbaugh. They also spent time together in prayer and fellowship. Both the Nashville Dominican's and Sisters of Life were able to visit us during this retreat and provide spiritual direction for our young adults.

Belcourt Mission Trip

Over spring break, 20 students travelled to St. Ann's in Belcourt, ND for a Mission Trip.

While there, they helped with several renovation projects at the church. They also were able to assist with a parish reconciliation retreat for the children of the parish.
