BMW MOA,
In June, Richard rode his R1250RS to Springfield via I80, Kathy flew in, Product was shipped
We stayed at the very worst motel EVER!
We had dinner at the NICEST place EVER!
Kathy got left in Springfield.
She was going to ride the bus to Coweta OK to her sisters and I was riding the 1250RS. She wanted me to go ahead, and I decided to go to the “bus stop” and wait with her, glad I did as the bus was not coming anytime soon.
We looked into renting a car. It was Sunday morning early and nobody was home.
We looked into taking a taxi for $400.00 bucks. NOT!
Kathy’s sister drove from Coweta to Springfield and picked her up and I followed them.
At least until I eased over and the pretty black Jag passed me.
He was really cool and we had fun for almost 100 miles, cannot believe we did not get caught.
After a few days with family I proceeded to Las Vegas to spend time with Kathy’s brother (He has a pool) on a pretty bald rear tire …
Kinda lost my mind until I found myself on the Turner Turnpike, between Tulsa and Oklahoma City … mindlessly going 65 mph in the slow lane. It came to me at that time, inside my head I that KNEW that tire was not going another1900 miles.
I decided to stop, unannounced, at the BMW dealership "Eurotek Oklahoma City" and the GREAT crew there got me into a new RoadSmart rear, and back on the road before noon. I Spent a few days in Las Vegas and I had plans to make it a two day trip, but got on the muscle and decided it was STRAIGHT home 671 miles …
A pretty good day and only THREE fuel stops on the 4.8 gal tank
Barstow, Lost Hills, Westly and home
