It’s been a whirlwind summer, but we hope you’ve found time to unwind—whether that’s through a vacation, a couple of rounds of golf, pool time, a camping trip, or simply enjoying your favorite summer pastime.

We've had many exciting shows this summer. Here we feature our collaboration with In Tradeshows & Events on Paymentus' participation in the IUCX Conference in Phoenix, and the opening of a new equine arena in Honeoye Falls that allows Equicenter to double their services that incorporate the therapeutic power of horses and nature in healing their clients.

Next, "come along" and witness the fun of this year's summer team building event in July where we staged the "AV Olympics" in friendly team and individual competition at Cheshire.

You'll also get to meet three more team members through our "Beyond the Gear" video feature, and you'll discover tips on why having videos and photos captured at events can be a great investment.

The fall and winter is starting to book up, but there's always room for YOU! If we can assist you with your next event, simply contact Justin at 585-325-4250 or Justin@CheshireAV.com for a free consultation. We’d love to support your event needs!

On the Road with Cheshire

Paymentus at the IUCX Conference

In May, Cheshire was proud to collaborate with In Tradeshows & Events, supporting Paymentus' exhibit at the IUCX Conference (formerly CS Week) held at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona.

Each year, IUCX brings together industry leaders for a powerful, packed event that includes networking, food, fun, and most importantly, educational programming and exhibits about the latest products, services and information for the electric, gas and water/wastewater utility industries.

As a top-tier provider of billing and payment solutions for utilities, Paymentus made a bold statement with the custom-built 80-tile LED video wall Cheshire installed at the center of their exhibit—underscoring their leadership and innovation in the industry.

New Equicenter Arena Opening

On June 11, The EquiCenter in Honeoye Falls opened a new arena dedicated to its longtime supporters, John and Josephine Ingle.

The EquiCenter is a non-profit organization, founded in 2004, with the mission of leveraging the therapeutic power of horses and nature to create "a supportive space for all--from community residents with medical conditions to veterans suffering from PTSD--to experience healing, find purpose, and feel connected." They offer a variety of programs, including therapeutic horticulture on their organic-practice farm, farm-to-table cooking classes, mustang lessons, and many other equine and nature-based educational programs that are in high demand. Many of their horses are rescues that are initially paired with donkeys to help them overcome trauma until they can be integrated into the therapy program.

The EquiCenter, which currently serves close to 200 participants per week, will be able to double its capacity for participants in adaptive riding and horsemanship programs with the addition of the new arena.

The horses weren't the only ones jumping hurdles as Julian Felder and Maria Hubbell worked to ensure the equine "celebrities" couldn't trip over the audio cables which were run through special cable ramps across the arena's dirt floor.

Cheshire congratulates the EquiCenter on the opening of this new addition that marks landmark growth and the expansion of the many vital services offered by the EquiCenter.

If you would like to assist in some capacity at the EquiCenter, they are always looking for dedicated Volunteers. Click here for information on how you may be able to help.

Team Building at Cheshire

Each summer, Cheshire holds a team building event. Come along on this year's adventure where Cheshire "threw down the Olympic gauntlet," pitting two randomly-chosen teams against each other to see which could pack a truck more efficiently for a show. After a fortifying and delicious lunch of champions, catered by Marty's Meats, the team headed to the parking lot to see who had the best skills at wrapping and throwing a cable. If laughter and good-sported ribbing was an Olympic sport, we'd all have taken first place!

Why Capturing Video and Photos at Events

Is a Smart Investment

As an audiovisual company that supports events of all sizes, we’re often asked: “Is it really worth investing in video and photography at our event?” Our answer is a resounding yes—but with a caveat: capturing great footage and images is just the beginning. The real value lies in how you use that content.

Whether it’s a conference, trade show, gala, or community celebration, photos and video help you extend your reach, highlight your event’s value, and build a rich archive of content to promote future programming. But to get the most out of your investment, it helps to plan your capture strategy with your larger goals in mind.

Why Capture at All?

When you invest in video and photography, you’re not just documenting an event—you’re creating a content toolkit that can be used in multiple ways. Here’s how strategic capture supports your brand:

  • Boost Visibility: Attendees—especially influencers—love to share quality content. When you provide beautiful, branded photos or well-edited video snippets, they become natural amplifiers of your message.
  • Reinforce Your Brand: Clean, consistent visual content reminds your audience of your professionalism and polish, and reinforces the tone, energy, and quality of your event.
  • Highlight Value: Sharing excerpts from keynote speeches or panels reminds your community what they gained by attending—and shows others what they missed.
