Making science connections to the real-world 🚗 ⌛

Our Physics class has been exploring fundamental concepts of force and motion. In this week's experiment, they had to calculate the velocity at which they could push Mr. Weber’s car in the parking lot, taking into consideration the mass of the car, the distance and time it took to cover it, and the force applied by the students. Winston students experience and learn science in action!

Pawsitive Teams is back and we are excited to welcome our Middle Schoolers for the first time! The purpose of Pawsitive Teams is to support our students by promoting emotional well-being, fostering positive social interactions, and providing a calming influence through the presence of specially trained therapy dogs. Week One was focused on Communication, setting the foundation of the six-week program. By encouraging meaningful engagement with the dogs and their handlers, students had the opportunity to practice verbal and non-verbal communication skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. 🐾
