Frequently Asked Dental Questions
What Kind of toothpaste should I use?
The most important ingredient for toothpaste is fluoride. It makes your tooth enamel stronger and can remineralize areas that have started to break down. Also look for toothpastes that have the American Dental Association's seal of approval. There are sensitivity, tarter control, baking soda, whitening and mouthwash infused toothpastes to choose from. It is best to avoid charcoal based toothpaste because of the over-abrasive action.
Do I need to floss my teeth?
Brushing is not very effective at cleaning between the teeth. Bacterial accumulation in these area leads to cavities. Waterpick and other methods help but there is no substitute for flossing every day.
