As a former TVT parent and Board Chair, Stephen Jay Kaufman has experienced the school through both family life and leadership. Today, we honor his service and recognize the trustees who take on the responsibility of helping guide TVT, with care for the families here today and those still to come.
What made TVT feel like a meaningful community for you and your family?
The warmth and loving concern for my daughter and each of the students, shown by teachers, staff and administration.
What is one TVT experience that has stayed with you?
My service to the TVT Board of Directors, including three years as Board Chair, is my fondest experience in service to the Orange County Jewish community.
Why do you believe it is important to invest in TVT's future?
Irving Gelman’s dedication to Jewish continuity brought TVT into existence because he understood that Jewish education is essential to that continuity. TVT builds a solid foundation of Jewish values for Jewish students and non-Jewish students who continue to support Jewish continuity beyond their graduation from TVT, the treasure of a lifetime of meaning and purpose.
