Embracing the season of giving with our can-sculpture, "Outshine Hunger," LERA is proud to continue our legacy with Canstruction New York.
LERA's gleaming 7-foot tall star design features over 7,000 cans of sardines that will feed hungry New Yorkers. Inspired by childhood wonder for twinkling stars, LERA's can sculpture features eight long cantilevered arms reaching outward with the belief that only together can we end hunger.
LERA has participated with CANstruction for over 20 years. To date, LERA has donated over 90,000 canned goods and food items to local charities, helping to feed over 18,000 New Yorkers, and have won 20 awards for our creative CANstruction designs.
