Join us tomorrow in Hartford for a press conference with Senator Richard Blumenthal as we call on the federal government to fully fund the Continuum of Care (CoC) and other federal programs that prevent and end homelessness.
These programs are the backbone of Connecticut’s homeless response system providing critical housing and support to more than 9,000 families, individuals, and older adults, including 6,400 people in Permanent Supportive Housing with disabilities and histories of chronic homelessness. Without full federal funding, the stability and safety of our neighbors and the integrity of our entire system are at risk.
The Administration’s proposed changes shift resources away from proven solutions and toward punitive approaches that would endanger lives. We must show our strength and solidarity now.
Your presence matters. We need the field—especially Permanent Supportive Housing providers, frontline staff, and advocates—to stand together and show that Connecticut will not turn its back on the people and programs that work.
Press Conference Details:
Date: Friday, November 14
Time: 10:30 AM (please plan to arrive 15 minutes early)
Location: Room 1A, Legislative Office Building
300 Capitol Ave, Hartford
This is a moment to be seen and heard. Let’s show what it means when Connecticut stands united rooted in compassion, grounded in care, and committed to ensuring every person has a safe, stable place to call home.
