Pie Baking

It is time to bake all of the wonderful pies we made over the summer for the Asbury Pie Café at the New Mexico State Fair!

Volunteers will pick up their pies, bake them at home, and return the baked pies to the church either that same evening or by 6:30 am the following morning.

If you would like to help bake pies, sign-up sheets are available in Fellowship Hall.

Thank you for helping us get our pies ready for the State Fair!

Serving Together: McCurdy

On September 26, we will head to McCurdy School to help spruce up their reading room!

If you would like to join our team on this trip, sign up in Fellowship Hall or contact
Rodney Thompson at (936) 208-2012.

Serving Together: St. Paul's Opportunities

St. Paul's United Methodist Church offers two opportunities for men to connect, serve, and grow in faith together.

Men's Breakfast Group: Join the men of St. Paul's on the 4th Saturday of every month at 9 am for breakfast, fellowship, and meaningful conversation. This supportive group provides an opportunity to build connections and grow together in faith. Contact Greg Pruitt at 505-259-6656 for more information or to let us know you're planning to join!

Peanut Butter & Jesus Ministry: On the 2nd Saturday of every month at 8 am, men gather to prepare PB&J sandwiches and add hygiene items as available to bags that are then distributed to neighbors in need.

Both opportunities meet at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Sanctuary Sounds Handbell Program

We want more ringers!

Sanctuary Sounds may be the ministry for you if:

  • You have played handbells before.
  • You play or have played an instrument in band or orchestra, or took piano lessons as a child.

We rehearse every Monday and ring once a month during Sunday service.

If you are interested in joining, leave your contact information at the Welcome Center or email Jacki Huntsman at jacki-h@comcast.net.

By Adam Hamilton

Time & Location: Sundays at 11:00 am in Nursery Classroom

Description:

The SSR small group, so named because it has a social gathering after completing a Bible study.

Money has great power in our lives. Used wisely, it is one key to fulfilling our life purpose. Used unwisely, we develop an insatiable desire for more.  Enough is an invitation to rediscover the Bible’s wisdom when it comes to prudent financial practices—experiencing contentment, overcoming fear, and discovering joy through simplicity and generosity. This book could change your life, by changing your relationship with money.

You are also invited to join SSR at its social September 13 at 11:00 am at Jason’s Deli on Holly NE.

Join a Small Group!

Remember, there is a place for you in a Small Group. If you are interested in joining an existing group or starting or leading a new group, complete the Small Group Interest Indicator form or visit the Welcome Center for information on how to get started.
