Dear MacLaren Families,
We are excited to announce that our Varsity Boys' Soccer team finished the season ranked fourth in the state and is headed to the playoffs!
MacLaren will host the second-round CHSAA 2A playoff game on Wednesday, November 4, at 3:00 p.m., and we hope you will join us in cheering on our athletes!
Game Day and Spirit Day Details
-
Spirit Day: To celebrate our soccer team, November 4 is a school-wide Spirit Day. All students may wear MacLaren spirit wear instead of their standard polo shirts.
-
Upper School Attendance: Upper School students are invited to attend the game during their tutorial period.
-
Student Pick-Up: The game will run past 3:30 p.m. Please coordinate an after-school pick-up time with your Upper School child beforehand if they wish to stay for the entire game.
-
Concessions: Pizza will be sold at the concession stand during the game.
Logistics and Safety Rules
-
Campus Safety: Temporary barriers and stanchions will be set up to keep our students safely separated from visitors.
-
Parking Limitations: Expect a very busy afternoon with a high number of guests. Please allow extra time and be prepared to park on nearby streets if the school lot fills up.
-
Game Admission: Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, and free for both MacLaren and opposing team students.
-
Pass Restrictions: Because this is an official CHSAA event, annual school passes (Family, GrandPartners, etc.) cannot be honored.
-
Arrival and Seating: Enter through the west gate closest to the basketball courts. The gate opens at 2:00 p.m. Bleacher seating is limited, so we highly encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs.
-
Next Round: If MacLaren wins on November 4, we will also host the quarterfinal match on Saturday, November 7.
Thank you, all, for your flexibility on Wednesday! Go Highlanders!
