To maximize call handling capacity and provide the best possible service during periods of peak demand, 2-1-1 will reduce hours of the Homelessness and Housing Line to Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. effective August 18.
United Way of Connecticut's 211 basic needs support line continues to operate 24/7/365: The team of contact specialists at 211's basic needs support service, through which they provide information and referrals for callers on a range of community supports (from food pantries and diaper banks to support groups and workforce training programs) are available all day, every day, year-round (including holidays) or you can access the database of resources at 211ct.org.
