Week of August 19, 2024

Hi Christine,

Get more information and keep up with current events by visiting Pacificmasters.org

In this issue, you will find information on upcoming swimming events and stories of interest.

August is Try Masters Swimming month. Take advantage of this opportunity to introduce your friends to the benefits of Masters Swimming.

The Paris 2024 Olympics concluded with a dramatic closing ceremony, featuring Tom Cruise boldly carrying the Olympic flag, by motorcycle, plane, and parachute, to Los Angeles in preparation for 2028. We Pacific Masters members do not have to wait that long to witness more world-class swimming; the USMS Summer Nationals are finally here! All eyes will be on Mission Viejo, as we wish everyone a successful meet.

Thanks to Scotty Patterson for the gorgeous heading photo of Donner Lake, pre-race on August 10. The next Update will appear the week of September 2, 2024. The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 30, 2024.
