What Women in Palestine Say

Hens-Piazza will share her insights gained from a two week women’s program that she led to Israel/Palestine in January 2026 with a team of women experienced in issues of peace and social justice.

The group reflected on Jewish, Christian and Islamic scriptures from the standpoint of women, then listened to Palestinian and Israeli women speak about the current political and cultural impasse.

"NOT MY PRESIDENT" DAY!

President's Day is coming up. We (Good Trouble) think it’s a perfect day to make some strong statements about the current administration's handling of the country and want YOU to be part of coming together for a strong, inspiring rally:
PLEASE JOIN US!
Make your signs, bring your flags , bring your voice! Bring friends and family, get ready to sing, play, and give hope to passersby! We also plan some music! Raging Grannies and ukeleles! TBD
Whatever your issue regarding saving our democracy and building a better future for the grandchildren, make your voice heard. Is it standing with MN, ICE out of everywhere, USAID, DHS, detention camps, family separation, Greenland, NATO, common decency, social justice, the broligarchy, racial profiling, cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, due process, human rights, and so many more? Make a sign, state your concern, bring a chair, bring your outrage and your joy!
Feel free to send this to anyone you think might be in need of some community in these difficult times.
Let's gather in community because our democracy depends on it.
In solidarity and joy, GOOD TROUBLE!
"A core principle behind this event is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We keep it positive! No profanity on signs, please."

NEW THIS WEEK:

BEN NORTON: 'Peace president’ Trump has bombed 10 countries, now plans $1.5 trillion military budget

"Donald Trump claims to be a so-called “peace president”, but he has bombed more countries than any other US leader.

After proudly renaming the Pentagon from the Department of Defense to the Department of War, Trump now plans to raise the US military budget from $1 trillion to a staggering $1.5 trillion.

This means that, if Trump succeeds, the United States will soon spend more on its military than all of the other countries in the world combined, excluding China."

AFP: Gaza fisherman battles poverty with plastic-bottle boat

"With hundreds of empty plastic bottles collected from the shores of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, fisherman Muath Abu Zeid has turned litter into a floating source of income.

The Palestinian father-of-four used glue and old nets to bind the bottles into a small fishing boat that he hopes will help him support his family.

Simple but effective, the 700-bottle craft is capable of carrying up to eight people out to sea, according to its 35-year-old skipper."

World BEYOND War has

a DIVESTMENT campaign!

About the Campaign

Grassroots-led war divestment campaigns are springing up all over the world, from students organizing to divest university endowments, to municipalities and states coming together to divest public pension funds. Divestment means organizing to remove public and private assets from weapons manufacturers, military contractors, and war profiteers.

Public pension and retirement funds especially are often invested, directly and indirectly, in weapons companies. Teachers and other public servants whose interests lie with promoting human needs have their retirement security tied up with maintaining or enlarging the war industry. Every dollar currently invested in weapons and war is a dollar that could be better spent on job creation, education, housing, healthcare, food security, and so much more.

War profiteering is largely normalized today. We’re working to stigmatize the war machine. World BEYOND War assists divestment campaigns led by our chapters, affiliates, other coalitions, and individuals around the world.
