Hi Friends,

Happy Thursday! We are quickly approaching the beginning of our formation year...how exciting! I want to draw your attention to a few things as you prepare to be back on the block this fall.

First, I want to encourage everyone to attend the Back to The Block Party this Sunday after the 10am service. This will be a fun time of fellowship with great food, lots of games and activities, and of course a time to gather back together after the summer!

I also want to encourage our high school students to take a look at two new high school opportunities below! We are so excited to start a monthly high school small group but we are especially excited to launch our new Youth Leadership Council which will give our high schoolers a unique experience to help lead and have a say in our youth program.

Lastly, please mark your calendars for our Formation Open House on August 28th. We will be doing our open house a little bit differently this year and will start by gathering in The Attic gym for a presentation of events and programs, you will receive a 2022-2023 calendar, and you will have a chance to meet your formation leaders. Come and get excited for an amazing year of ministry at All Saints!

I can't wait to see everyone at Back to The Block this Sunday!

Peace,

Hope

August Save The Dates

ACOLYTE TRAINING THIS SATURDAY!

Acolyte Training on Saturday, August 13th at 10am!

If you are a current acolyte or would like to be an acolyte, please mark your calendars for our Acolyte Training! We will learn all of the acolyte roles and responsibilities which will prepare us for a wonderful 2022-2023 year of serving! We will begin at 10am and should end by 11am.

Please let Hope know if you plan to be an acolyte but can't be at the training so we can make sure you still get added to a team.

PARENT VOLUNTEER CORNER

As we get closer to our fall programming, which begins on September 11th, we wanted to start ensuring we have parent volunteers at a variety of our events! Volunteering for Y'All Saints Youth Ministry is something we hope all parents will participate in, in at least one way. This ranges from being a Sunday School teacher to providing a meal during SNL one night. Please think through how you would like to serve and respond via the link below!

Description of Opportunities:

  • SNL Meal Volunteer: Providing a meal during one of our SNL nights for approximately 20 youth. This could be homemade, delivery, or catered...it would totally be up to you!
  • Volunteering at SNL: Being an additional adult presence at one of our SNL nights. This would be a time commitment of 6pm-7:30pm on a Sunday night.
  • Volunteering during Attic Invasion: Being an additional adult presence at one of our middle school Attic Invasions. This would be a time commitment of 7pm-9pm on a Friday night.
  • Sunday School Teacher: This would be a September-May commitment to teaching each Sunday morning at 10:15am. This is a great way to get to know our youth and be an influential person in their faith life! Our classes are divided by 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade, and high school
  • High School Small Group Leader: High School small groups will meet once a month on Wednesday nights at 6pm. They will follow a small group guide with lots of great questions and conversation. We look forward to providing this new ministry for our high schoolers!
  • Weekend Retreat Chaperone: Volunteering to drive youth and stay during one of our diocesan retreats at Camp Mikell! These always last from Friday night-Sunday afternoon.

HIGH SCHOOL OPPROTUNITES 2022-2023

We are so excited to have two new High School opportunities this year!

High School Small Group will be a once a month hybrid gathering on Wednesday evenings at 6pm. This will be an opportunity for our high schoolers to gather, wherever they are, for an hour of small group time, community, and growing in faith together. We know that schedules can be crazy, so we wanted to offer this as a hybrid model so youth can join on Zoom or in The Attic! We will be sending out a monthly email with our discussion topic, so please fill out the attached form so we can make sure you receive all information!

The Youth Leadership Council is a special opportunity to help lead and serve as a Y'All Saints high school student! Serving on the Youth Leadership Council is a one year commitment but will be a year full of getting to know the other council members, coming up with new and exciting ideas, and learning how to lead. To read the job description click here. If this is something you would like to be a part of, please fill out the application!
