We have a really special Podcast Series coming soon.

It's called "Melody Makers" and is hosted by Gretchen Monson. Gretchen will be featuring harpists who have made a huge impact on players, students, and the harp world in general. You'll enjoy Gretchen's youthful energy and perspective. Look for the first podcast this coming weekend.

Ah, Wedding Season! But that’s June. Which gives a whole month to brush up regular repertoire and add something new and fresh to the list.

The Harpist’s Complete Wedding Guide (SKU 6615B) is a practical resource of

valuable information for someone just starting out or a harpist who has questions about, contracts, pricing, repertoire, and other timely tips.

Wedding Music for Lever Harp (SKU 77247M) contains 23 classic, traditional,

and ethnic arrangements. Few accidentals, performance notes, and useful tips and

suggestions for fees, contracts, etiquette and proper attire, and more information.

Perfect by Ed Sheeran is a popular and often requested selection (SKU 70351).

Playable by advanced beginners to intermediate levels.

Three Wedding Marches (SKU 94004 for paper book or SKU 94004E for

download) includes the Wagner Wedding March, Mendelssohn Wedding

Recessional, and Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke. Two of the best things is these are

Eighteen wedding classics and hymns are included in very accessible level for lever or pedal harp. Music is organized for those who prefer playing in the key of C (SKU 61805 for paper book and SKU E8656 for download) or the key of Eb (SKU 61806 for paper and SKU E8657 for download).

Reba Lunsford is back and contributing her wealth of knowledge to our newsletters and interviews. She says about the above selections: This small list doesn’t begin to scratch the surface of available offerings. Whatever you choose, best wishes for surviving the busy events ahead.

If you repair it they will come. Nick Pickus, having been trained by John, is now the harp repair guy in Texas. Melody's has many harps in the transformational stage.

We are looking forward to the wonders Nick will perform on this L&H 12, a recent arrival.

We have a few used harps available, including a Dusty 36 flatback in walnut with beautiful tone. Hear it below. See all the used harps HERE. If you want a demo of one in particular, please let us know.

Note from Mary - I have a small studio of piano and harp students. When I lived in Milwaukee, I was (and still am) a member of the Milwaukee Area Piano Teachers Association (MAPTA). MAPTA puts on a summer music festival that is open to many instruments, including harp. The teacher who normally chairs the summer festival will be out of the country this year, so I volunteered to chair the event. It's a great opportunity for students to play in a non-stressful video event. Judges are Wisconsin-based qualified teachers. Here is more info:
