Breakfast at 10:15am

Blessings at all services

Let's celebrate those God has brought to us over the last couple years! Our clergy will bless these folks during each of the services, and we'll share a breakfast in the Parish Hall beginning at 10:15am. Join us as we welcome our new friends!

We need help setting up on Saturday, prep and serving on Sunday and cleanup after.

If you are interested in helping, please email Tom Klaine with your availability so he can add you to the volunteer list. klainetal@gmail.com

We are still short volunteers - please reach out to Tom if you would be willing to pitch in!

Progressive Dinner Hosts Needed!

Saturday, December 5

Hosts are needed for this year's Progressive Dinner! This can sound intimidating at first, but as host, you are supported along the way with the main course and side dishes. The Rev. Alice has talked about "messy hospitality" - about not having everything necessarily perfect and "together" in the ways we see on Hallmark... let's practice that! Open up your doors and dining table for other St. Tim's parishioners for an evening of fellowship and deeper connection. It's a perfect time to get to know one another!

AROUND ST. TIM'S

St. Tim's Podcast: The Wilderness

The Rev. Roger and The Rev. Alice have teamed up for a new (occasional) podcast!

Follow us wherever you get your podcasts to keep up with the episodes.

During the month of October, we will collect personal care items for IPM Food Pantry.

Last Sunday, 158 personal care items were donated!! This brings our total to 285. We have already brought in 89 toothbrushes!!! Tooth decay watch out!!!

All items were delivered to IPM on Monday and were immediately put out on the shelves! The personal care drive for IPM continues the next two Sundays of October. The need is strong, but so is our caring!

All of the items have been delivered and are already out on the shelves for the clients. Keep the donations coming in for this Sunday, October 11!!!!

FYI - Self care items at IPM are donation only.

Place all donations near the altar and watch the collection multiply!

Stephen Ministries at St. Tim's

Stephen Ministers are trained lay people who walk with people who are going through a difficult time. Often people are so busy with their day-to-day life that it is difficult for them to reflect on how they are doing. If a person doesn't have a chance to talk about his/her problems, the burden can grow even heavier. A Stephen Minister offers a confidential, non judgmental "ear" to help you through the difficult time. Please contact Debby Corotis for more information at Debby@Corotis.com

Were you a Girl Scout??

My name is Blumiere Connor, you likely know me as Pastor Alice’s daughter.

I’m an ambassador Girl Scout and currently working on my Gold Award. My project is about the preservation of Girl Scout history, specifically in the Western Ohio region. For this, I want to interview women who were Girl Scouts when they were younger, specifically about the camp experiences they remember and how Scouts impacted them.

If anyone is interested in being interviewed, or knows someone who was a Girl Scout in the area, I would love to talk to you/them. My phone number is 513-502-2197, or you can contact my mother.

As we begin another Annual Giving Appeal, we are celebrating how God has made strangers friends for the last 70 years through the work of the people who make up this church. Without YOUR hands and feet, without YOUR support, this place would not be what it is today.

Join monthly ‘Vote Faithfully’ networking calls

Thursday, November 5, 1:30–2pm

Register here: https://us.list-manage.com/FJ597mwPCKK

Join the church’s public policy and witness team on the first Thursday of each month through November, for “Vote Faithfully” calls to support voter engagement in ways consistent with Episcopal values. During the calls, hosts will share resources and ideas to help congregations promote voting and civic participation while remaining nonpartisan (avoiding support for specific political parties, candidates, or platforms). The August 6 call will focus on important voter registration and election deadlines and how to make a congregational communications plan.

Coffee Hour

Churches are SOLIDIFIED during Coffee Hour - this is a life giving and saving ministry.

You don't know who will walk into our doors next Sunday, and having a few things to nibble on offers them the cover they may need to hang around for a few more moments than they would have, allowing them to connect with YOU and the people you share the pews with.

We welcome everyone, and feeding them after service is one small way we do that!

This Sunday is the THIRD Sunday of October.

If your last name begins with letters N through R please bring a small snack to share!

Sunday of the month...

1st: last names A - F

2nd: last names G - M

3rd: last names N - R

4th: last names S - Z

5th: If you forgot to bring something on your Sunday, bring it today! This is an all hands on deck week!

Parish Photo Share

Do you have any pics of St. Tim's? This could be a group of parishioners out to eat on a Friday night or snaps of the Holy Eucharist on a Sunday morning. Don't mind if they are used for our communication? Share them with us!

Please use this method rather than emailing the photos to Sami.

There is a small learning curve, but this is the quickest and easiest way to maintain photo quality. Emailed photos are too pixelated to use on our socials and for marketing.

Scam Alert

**Reminder - we do not give out PDF copies of the directory to anyone, period.**

There have been multiple scam emails sent to staff and parishioners that appear to be from members of the Vestry - beware, they are all fake. Church leadership uses the secure site Realm to host our directory.

We will NEVER, NEVER ask you for a PDF copy of the directory. Ever. No such thing exists.

If you get an email claiming otherwise, don't engage, just report it as phishing.
