Hey Y'All Saints,

Happy Fall (FINALLY)!

In addition to our regular programming this week — including Attic Hour , Sunday Night Live and Friday Night Attic Invasion — there are two additional events coming up as we approach Halloween.

First, this Tuesday night is the opportunity to see and hear a performance of the 1920s classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Then, next Sunday, October 27, don't miss our second Harry Potter Night! All the details are below.

This season of sugar, spooks, and screams is a playful time that can also create a space to think about our faith. We'll spend some time as a youth group in the little while considering the roots of Halloween, along with our fears, the masks we wear, and the characters who inspire us.

I hope you all will think of a friend you want to invite and plan to join us for one or more of these gatherings. We'll see you soon!
Peace,

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Tuesday, October 22 at 7:30 pm

This Tuesday we will have the opportunity to experience a silent film with improvised organ accompaniment. Internationally renowned concert organist David Briggs will provide spontaneous accompaniment to the 1920 Paramount silent film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde . Black and white cokiess and popcorn will be served, and with the assistance of some fog machines the church will be transformed for a Spooktacular experience. All children under 18 attend for free. Information on ticket pricing can be found here . Come in costume and join the fun! (Example video of David Briggs performing to Phantom of the Opera)
Harry Potter Night
Sunday, October 27

4:30 p.m. Trunk or Treat in the Courtyard

Come early to trunk or treat through Diagon Alley (a.k.a Kennedy Courtyard) with Harry Potter characters. We could also use your help with our youngest saints during this time. Contact Director of Children's Ministries Kathy Roberts if you would like to volunteer! kroberts@allsaintsatlanta.org

5:30 p.m. Worship, Dinner, and Movie

Join us for a magical evening of Harry Potter-themed worship, fellowship, and fun. We’ll celebrate Eucharist in the Great Hall (a.k.a. Ellis Hall) and explore the ways this story helps expand the theological imagination of young and old. After the service, enjoy a Hogwarts-style feast and the movie Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. All are welcome, and costumes of all sorts are encouraged!
